Barnum was sworn in as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Reserve Affairs on 23 July, 2001, and was designated Acting Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Manpower and Reserve Affairs) on 20 January 2009 and retired on 30 April 2009. Her last duty station was Marine Barracks Washington.Īshley currently resides in Virginia with her husband Major Mark Saville and their son Robert. While on active duty Ashley served as a platoon commander in Helmand Province, Afghanistan where she led convoy operations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Ashley commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in 2009. In addition, Ashley is responsible for coordinating and developing initiatives for principal level partnerships which allows the Scholarship Foundation to work together with top companies, corporations, and organizations to advance our mission of Honoring Marines by Educating Their Children.Īs the daughter of dual spouse Air Force Senior Master Sergeants, she was led to serve after completing her undergraduate degree from Kennesaw State University. In her current role as Chief Development Officer, Ashley leads the Development and Events teams. Most recently, she served as the Senior Philanthropic Officer where she led the Directors of Development across the nation on identifying, qualifying, and growing the pipeline of major gift investors, as well as prospecting, cultivating, and stewarding new investors. Ashley Saville joined the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation in 2014.
